Keep Your Pool Safe and Clean with Water Testing and Treatment

Every day your pool water is exposed to a variety of elements and debris, whether from a thunderstorm or the skincare products on your skin. All of these can affect the health of your pool. To ensure a safe swimming environment, it’s essential to regularly test and treat the water.

Water Circulation and Filtration

Your pool pump should run long enough to ensure the total volume of pool water is circulated at least three times per day. For most residential pools, this means running your pump a minimum of 6 to 8 hours daily.

Chemical Treatment

Water filtration alone doesn’t eliminate all impurities. For this reason, it’s important to treat the water with the appropriate swimming pool chemicals. To determine what chemicals are needed to correct imbalances, sign up for our weekly pool maintenance package or take a water sample to a nearby pool supply store.

Water Hardness

In addition to balancing the water chemistry, you’ll want to check for and correct water hardness. Soft water is acidic and can corrode metals and pool surfaces. Hard water is alkaline and can result in calcium deposits.

Caring for your pool’s pumps and filters while maintaining the proper pH balance and chemical levels in the water can be overwhelming. Consider enrolling in our affordable weekly pool maintenance programs to have our certified pool technicians take care of these things for you.
